General description: Grand piano by C. Endrés, Berlin, Germany, ca. 1850–1860. Case veneered with rosewood, supported by three legs (one broken). Metal hitchpin plate with four metal bars and a capo tasto in the treble. Triple-strung throughout, with closed wrapped bass strings and remaining strings fitted in agraffes. Viennese-type action with felt hammer heads and felt dampers (“old men’s hat” type). Keyboard without ivory, possibly plastic, with some peeling keys. Two pedals (lyra). Playable but in poor condition. Serial number M11. Inventory number: 3304.
