The first five strings are bichord with wrapped strings, the rest of the piano is trichord. The hammer heads are felt over a layer of leather, however these are likely not original. The wooden frame of the piano was constructed using a technique called brickwork, where the wood is glued or laminated together to create larger, stronger pieces of wood.
